In Australia, Datafast has entered the ranks of the country's Top-10 Internet service providers (ISPs). In recently acquiring the customer bases of KeyPoint and EZ Web, Datafast has boosted its number of active accounts by almost 30,000 to a total of about 85,000. Meanwhile, investors remain puzzled by the slide through the ISP Top-10 ranks of OzEmail from second place to fourth. ACNielsen analyst Andrew Tolputt says OzEmail is launching a promotion in early calendar 2004, including television advertisements featuring recently retired cricket captain, Steve Waugh, aimed at lifting its profile.
