It's full speed ahead for new brake firm HQ

Work on a new purpose-built headquarters and distribution centrefor Knorr-Bremse UK has started at Emersons Green.

The move ensures that Knorr-Bremse, which makes brake systems forcommercial vehicles, will stay in the area.

The company, which employ s about 165 people at its Douglas Road,Kingswood base, had looked at alternative sites in the UK butdecided to stay in the Bristol area in order to keep its experiencedworkforce.

Its UK manufacturing work will continue to be carried out inKingswood while distribution will be run out of the Emerald ParkEast, Emersons Green, closer to motorway links.
